When & Where Is The Race?


This year there will two options for the Annual Blue Ridge Turkey Trot. We will be offering a live in-person race with social distancing measures put in place as well as a virtual event for those that want to participate but not ready for an in-person gathering.

TSHIRT will be given to participants in both events.

Overall and age group awards will be given to runners in the live event.


The virtual 5k will start on November 21st and run through November 29th. You can run your 5k ANYWHERE anytime you like during this time. Once you complete your run submit your results manually or utilize RaceJoy for a fun interactive experience. Information will be sent out prior to the race start regarding results submission. Please make sure NOT to OPT out for emails for this event. You will be receiving valuable information leading up to the Virtual Event. Also, make sure your mailing address is correct. For those who don’t pick up their Tshirt in person, they will be mailed to the address in your Runsignup account. Please make sure your mailing address is correct.


Our live event will be held on Thanksgiving morning in beautiful downtown Blue Ridge beginning at 8:00 a.m. We promise to have you home in time to get your turkey in the oven. Guaranteed Tshirts and preferred sizing for all runners registered by Nov 12. Awards will be given to overall and age group winners.

RACEJOY: We are utilizing RaceJoy for the Virtual Event and for the Live Event. Download this free interactive app to your mobile device so you and your friends and family can track your success and send your cheers along your run. You can also post results for the virtual event directly from the app.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are several places to park downtown. Here are a few good options that is not far walking distance to the start/finish line: First Baptist of Blue Ridge has two parking lots on both sides of the street. Use Church Street to get to the race. 907 E Main St, Blue Ridge, GA 30513. In or around A Taste of Amish 2460 E First St, Blue Ridge, GA 30513 There is also an empty building on the corner that has some parking. Cross the road to East Main Street and walk toward downtown and you won’t be far from the start/finish line.
Awards and Results

We will have award metals for the top three male and female finishers at the race. All results will be posted on our website within 48 hours of the race.

We also have first place trophies for 10 year age brackets for male and female placers. Over winner will be judged by gun time and 10 year age brackets will be judged by chip time
What do I bring?
If you registered online all you need to do is show up with a canned food item for Good Samaritans food pantry. Your bib number will be waiting at the pre-registered table. If you did not register online bring $30 cash or check and a canned food item for our Good Samaritan’s food pantry. You will receive a bib number at the onsite registration table. Water and other post race snacks will be provided.
You can now register online anytime before the race begins until the morning of the race at 7:55am
We encourage you to register online before you come, if you can, to save time in the line.
  • The registration price is $30 until the Tuesday before Thanksgiving
  • Price will be $35 after Tuesday
  • Shirts are first come first serve for anyone who registers after Monday, so please arrive Thursday at 7am to ensure you receive a shirt
  • Packet pick up is at the race location on Wednesday before the race from 3pm-6pm or the day of the race starting at 7am
We accept card, cash or check on packet pick up day and the day of the race
Cancelation Policy
We will run rain, shine, cold or very cold… However if the race is cancelled due to severe weather we will send out an email blast to all runners and post on our website. In this rare case we will not reschedule and no refunds or rain checks will be given.

We are supporting Mountain Area Christian Academy with a portion of our proceeds going to organizations that are close to the school's heart. Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Cure Childhood Cancer.

I have been a student at Mountain Area Christian Academy since 2012 and my family and I have been associated with the Blue Ridge Turkey Trot ever since! The Turkey Trot has been an annual tradition in my family for years and I hope you all choose to make it a part of your thanksgiving as well!
